CURIOUS GEORGE - Curious George was first published in 1941 by Houghton Miffin. For sixty years, George has been capturing the hearts and minds of reader throughout the world. All the Curious George books, which include the original seven books by Margaret and Hans A. Rey, have sold over 25 million copies! George simple cannot be forgotten. He has never been out of print and is published in Japanese, French, Afrikaans, Portuguese, Swedish, German, Chinese, Danish and Norwegian. Not bad for a little monkey who is always getting into trouble.

Since George’s original authors have passed away, The Curious George Foundation was started up in 1989. The foundation funds programs for kids to share and celebrate George’s irresistable characteristics - ingenuity, opportunity, determination and curiosity in learning and exploring the world.

Curious George is almost a universal character. We all love and remember him from our childhood and now we read the books to our kids or grandchildren! Whether you’re 82 or28 or just 8 years old, this inquisitive little guy is now an icon.
